Emily Atack and Danny Dyer's new primetime ITV game show is revealed - and insiders say its premise is VERY familiar
Emily Atack and Danny Dyer 's new primetime ITV game show has been revealed, but its premise is raising eyebrows. It was revealed earlier this year that the pair, who both starred in the Disney+ hit Rivals, will front a Saturday night game show called Nobody's Fool. Bosses at the broadcaster brought in the pair in a bid to 'freshen up their entertainment talent', it was reported. The duo are reportedly set to receive a whopping £250,000 each for the gig, with the show expected to air next year. But similarities between Nobody's Fool and Rivals are said to have raised eyebrows behind the scenes. A source told The Sun: 'Rivals is the story of a web of rival individuals which is spun around a stately house, Penscombe Court, and their efforts to constantly outdo one another. 'That's exactly the basis for the new gameshow, which also has the background of a country pile and sees all the competitors try to outwit one another. 'Those in the know are already describing it as: "A game of intellect and deception" which could be the catchline for one of Jilly's novels.' MailOnline has contacted representatives for Danny and Emily for comment. Danny and Emily have been busy so far this year filming the second series of the smash-hit series, based on the racy books of Dame Jilly Cooper. Danny, who played pub landlord Mick Carter in EastEnders for almost a decade, is no stranger to game shows. The hardman previously hosted The Wall for the BBC, which ran for three series before ending in 2022 when Danny left EastEnders and the BBC. Mum-of-one Emily starred as a team captain on now-axed CelebJuice with Keith Lemon and Laura Whitmore. Danny recently revealed there is so much bonking in Rivals 2 – which is currently filming - that they have hired every intimacy coach in the UK. He said: 'We are doing 12 episodes of Rivals and we are filming until March next year. 'It is brilliant but it is a mad thing to do a sex scene. If you think about it you are legally allowed to tongue someone else. It is part of your job. Depending on your partner. It is OK if you fancy it, I am not going to lie.' He added: 'On Rivals there are a lot of intimacy coaches. I think we used every intimacy coach in the land.' In the smash hit Disney + show, based on the novel by Jilly Cooper, Danny played self-made businessman Freddie Jones who goes into business with Rupert Campbell-Black, played by Alex Hassell and Declan O'Hara played by Aidan Turner. In the show Jones falls in love with romance author Lizzie Vereker, played by actress Katherine Parkinson. The initial run was eight episodes but Disney + have asked for more this time around. Danny's performance as Jones has been hailed as bringing heart to the frothy, pulpy show, which has led to a reassessment of him as an actor, following his long-running stint in EastEnders. He was awarded a Bafta in May for his performance in Mr Bigstuff. He told Esquire magazine: 'People saw me in a different light[in Rivals], and it came out just after Mr. Bigstuff, which, for once, shows a bit of versatility, because Lee is so different to Freddie. 'I've made a lot mistakes over the years. I've said yes to a lot of jobs I probably shouldn't have, probably because I was driven by the dollar – I had bills to pay and kids in private schools. Now, I'm at a stage where I have loads of offers that I've got the power to say no to. I think I'll be defined by what I say no to, and it's really exciting for me.' On stage at the Baftas where he won the award to Best Male Performance in a Comedy he said: 'What a touch! Comedy performance. I thought my acting was so bad it was funny. I want to thank Sky for giving our show a shot. F***ing hell, I'm choked up. 'I got to dedicate this to (Mr Bigstuff writer) Ryan Sampson. One of the greatest things to come out of Rotherham. Which is not saying much. 'But one of the best actors this country's ever produced, I'm telling you. Never done the same thing twice. Which is not something I can say. He wrote this part for me, so you know... I'm getting choked up again, f**k me.'

Lingo contestants miss out on whopping jackpot after being bested by this 'tough' word riddle - but can YOU solve it within the time limit?
A hopeful sibling duo had to wave goodbye to thousands of pounds after being bested by a tough word riddle on Lingo. Good Morning Britain 's Adil Ray, 51, welcomed the contestants onto the latest edition of the popular ITV game show. Playing for the cash prize were three separate pairings - including Manchester-based brothers Jack and Rob, who were confident they could secure a solid win. The game sees players compete to guess hidden words of various lengths - and those with a large vocabulary and quick thinking are rewarded. When asked by Adil if they were 'competitive' with one another, Rob quipped: 'We would basically be competing against each other more than we will the other people to be fair.' The brothers beat Nantwich pair Jenny and Dev and London couple Rosie and Wes to get to the final round. The stakes were high for Jack and Rob. If they had solved a four-letter puzzle in the final, they would get half the money they'd won during the game. By guessing three letters within a strict time limit, they would have taken home a nice sum of £1,870. If they had guessed the right letters for both a four and five-letter word, they would have banked an impressive £3,740. Finally, if they could have done both - as well as guessing a six-letter Lingo - in 90 seconds, their earnings would have doubled to make a whopping £7,480. For the four letter word, Jack correctly guessed the word 'lobe' in three goes. This was after the pair passed on the first word, 'gram', as Jack could not guess two of the letters. Rob also passed on the first five-letter word, as he was unable to figure out the word 'tough'. 'That was tough,' quipped Adil, and the players were visibly disappointed with the momentum of the final so far, before Rob correctly guessed 'stamp' on the first try. The contestants were on track to win the final jackpot, and they had 30 seconds left on the clock. They chose the starting word 'images' for which the letter 'I' was placed in the right position with 'E' and 'S' getting an orange light - meaning they appear elsewhere in the word But they ran out of time before they could correctly guess the final word, which was 'inside' They chose the starting word 'images' for which the letter 'I' was placed in the right position with 'E' and 'S' getting an orange light - meaning they appear elsewhere in the word. Jack and Rob then guessed 'invest', revealing 'N' as another green letter, while 'E' and 'S' stayed orange. The pair guessed similar words, including 'insure' and 'insane' - which saw the I, N, S, and E in the right place, and left just two letters to be guessed. But they ran out of time before they could correctly guess the final word, which was 'inside'. Frustratingly, Jack and Rob made the correct guess just seconds after their time was up, prompting Adil to say: 'No! No! Don't tell me you've got it now, that would be really annoying!' Gesturing to the screen, he added: 'Don't show us, don't show us!'

Jennings co-hosted the show alongside Mayim Bialik for two years before becoming its sole host in 2023. Jennings revealed to TV Insider whether or not he's taking his final bows at the legendary series. He shared surprising news. "The last host worked into his 80s. Traditionally, it's not a job you retire from," Jennings explained. It's just such an incredibly fun job. You're playing along with the smartest folks and getting to see them do their thing up close." He concluded, "I really feel very lucky that I'm still part of the Jeopardy! family after all these years. And I have, I have no plans to hang it up." Jennings holds the record, according to the show's official website, for the most consecutive games won in 2004, at 74. He also tops regular-season play with a record-winning cash prize of $2,520,700. Before his historic winning streak, Jennings was a longtime fan of the game show, which originally premiered in March 1964 with Art Fleming as host. The show aired in various formats until 1979, before being relaunched in 1984 with Trebek at the helm. Jennings admits there are some classic elements of the show he wishes would return. "I do miss, and I don't know how many decades it's been, but there used to be a thing where the dollar amounts would appear on the board and the sound effect would be like 'beep boop boop beep boop boop' and we don't have time for that sound effect anymore, apparently, but I miss it." He quipped, "I'm very nostalgic for that sound effect. I feel like our ratings would probably double just from that. I'm not an expert, but I'm just spitballing. I think we would double our ratings if we had the dollar amount sound effect back." Jeopardy! airs weeknights in syndication. 'Jeopardy!' Jimmy Kimmel reveals blistering reason he wants Trump to compete on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?
Jimmy Kimmel has revealed the blistering reason he wants Donald Trump to compete on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? The 57-year-old, who has been serving as host since 2020, told Extra he'd like to see exactly 'how much the genius' really knows. Celebrity contestants get their intelligence tested as they're quizzed on a variety of topics in the hopes of winning $1M for a charity of their choosing. Asked about his dream contestant, Kimmel told the outlet: 'Boy, wound't it be fun to put Donald Trump in that hot seat, see how much that genius knows? 'I would say, "Please, have a seat. I would love to — you know what? Any time you spend on a game show is another hour you're not being president, so I'm in support of that."' Kimmel - a vocal critic of the president - admitted he has a lot of respect for any celebrity who does take part. He added: 'I admire anybody that does sit down and come on the show because they're really risking their reputation.' Kimmel's comments about Trump come after the US President claimed he and Jimmy Fallon could be 'next' to have their shows cancelled after news that the Late Show with Stephen Colbert will end in May 2026. Trump wrote on his own Truth Social platform: 'The word is, and it's a strong word at that, Jimmy Kimmel is NEXT to go in the untalented Late Night Sweepstakes and, shortly thereafter, Fallon will be gone. 'These are people with absolutely NO TALENT, who were paid Millions of Dollars for, in all cases, destroying what used to be GREAT Television. 'It's really good to see them go, and I hope I played a major part in it! (sic)' In response, Kimmel posted on Instagram: 'I'm hearing you're next. Or maybe it's just another wonderful secret.' His contract for Jimmy Kimmel Live! - which airs on ABC - is set to expire in 2026. Meanwhile, Colbert has questioned CBS' statement claiming the decision to end the show was a 'purely a financial decision' move. Tenable contestant fails tricky geography question even though her own NAME is an answer – would you have got it?
A RED-FACED contestant on Tenable was left kicking herself after fluffing a geography brainteaser. Viewers were stunned when she failed to name a capital city that shared her first name… but would you have clocked it? 3 3 Host Warwick Davis asked the team to name 10 seven-letter countries beginning with the letters G to L. But things quickly went downhill when Georgia, the contestant, missed a very obvious one. Despite her name literally being one of the answers, she failed to clock the connection and guessed another country instead. The glaring blunder left viewers shouting at their screens. Fans flooded social media in disbelief, with one saying: "What was on her mind..." Another wrote: "Her name is literally a 7-letter country starting with G😂😂" Meanwhile, Warwick has begged TV bosses to bring back his gameshow, after ITV cancelled it earlier this year in a move that shocked fans. The 54-year-old is mostly known for his roles in major blockbuster films, including the Harry Potter and Star Wars franchises. Bosses originally chose him to front the knowledge show in 2016 until its axing in August. Beloved ITV game show with celebrity host 'set to be shelved' after seven series on air The movie star was left absolutely devastated by the decision as he loved hosting the programme. He now thinks there might be scope for a potential revival, after seeing how upset the fans were over the decision. Warwick told The Daily Star: "Presenting Tenable was one of my favourite things to do. "I loved the show. People tell me they still watch old episodes now and enjoy it. Hardest Quiz Show Questions Would you know the answers to some of quizzing TV's hardest questions Who Wants To Be A Millionaire - Earlier this year, fans were left outraged after what they described as the "worst" question in the show's history. Host Jeremy Clarkson asked: 'From the 2000 awards ceremony onwards, the Best Actress Oscar has never been won by a woman whose surname begins with which one of these letters?' The multiple choice answers were between G, K, M and W. In the end, and with the £32,000 safe, player Glen had to make a guess and went for G. It turned out to be correct as Nicole Kidman, Frances McDormand and Kate Winslet are among the stars who have won the Best Actress gong since 2000. The 1% Club - Viewers of Lee Mack's popular ITV show were left dumbfounded by a question that also left the players perplexed. The query went as follows: "Edna's birthday is on the 6th of April and Jen's birthday falls on the 15th of October, therefore Amir's birthday must be the 'X' of January." It turns out the conundrum links the numbers with its position in the sentence, so 6th is the sixth word and 15th is the fifteenth word. Therefore, Amir's birthday is January 24th, corresponding to the 24th word in the sentence. The Chase - The ITV daytime favourite left fans scratching their heads when it threw up one of the most bizarre questions to ever grace the programme. One of the questions asked the player: "Someone with a nightshade intolerance should avoid eating what?" The options were - sweetcorn, potatoes, carrots - with Steve selecting sweetcorn but the correct answer was potatoes. "I feel like I should video people on my phone when they say, 'We miss Tenable' and then send them to ITV!" Warwick knows that he would need to make the commercial case to the higher ups at the channel. He admits that a potential revival would hinge on getting high ratings and bringing in a large profit. The actor added: "The landscape of television has changed immensely with all the streaming services now. "Unless you can pull in the advertisers, you can't get a show on. "One day it may become apparent that Tenable is viable once again. Maybe we could even do a Tenable film one day!" 3
